Our sustainable actions
Aware of the growing desire of our visitors to discover our territory in a responsible way, the fragility of our ecosystem and the need to promote our producers and craftsmen, Clermont Auvergne Tourisme has been working for several years to set up a responsible approach.
ISO 20121 certification
We have obtained our ISO 20121 certification in July 2022.
Thanks to this approach, we try to be part of a continuous improvement approach that will allow us to progress each year in terms of sustainable development.
Our website
We have created various contents related to the theme of sustainable development:
Car-free Clermont: highlighting sites accessible by public transport with the Tram A line, the B bus, the Clermont-Vulcania shuttle and the Clermont-Panoramic des Dômes shuttle.
• Sites accessible to people with disabilities
• Local producers and markets: dedicated pages.
• Outdoor offers: hikes accessible by public transport, hikes in the Chaîne des Puys – Limagne fault, sports activities
• Partners committed to a responsible approach and sustainable initiatives in the region.
Our shop
In our shop we work more and more with artisans from the region in order to highlight a know-how unique to our territory. (Jewellery, knives, enamelled lava…)

• Tango des Saveurs: syrups and jams, artisanal products from Aulnat.
• L’Atelier de Fleur de bijoux: artisanal jewelery made entirely by hand from real dried flowers (selection of those created with flowers from Auvergne) in a workshop in Clermont.
• Isabel Naudin: naturalist painter from Cantal: postcards, books and memory game.
• Chaîne des puys puzzles: “Green Puzzle” indicates that this game has been designed in a spirit of respect for the environment: no more plastic film around the boxes but stickers made of recycable paper, also recycable cardboard, the plastic bags containing the puzzle pieces replaced by recycable paper bags
• “Puy-de-Dôme”: Notebook of watercolors by local author Sarah Leïla Roux
• New model of enamelled lava magnet of the Michelin Adventure made by the Yopso workshop in Orcines
Accesssibility
Our website has become fully accessible for the visual and hearing impaired people (video subtitled).
We have identified the offers labeled "tourism and disability" on our territory and work is underway to identify the general accessible offers.
Wilderness
Several pages have been created to particularly highlight the instructions for respecting hiking trails, sensitive natural areas, Natura 2000 areas...in our territory.
The creation of a hiking route on less frequented paths is being developed, with the aim of:
• Offering hikes off the beaten track
• Limiting flows on very busy trails in high season
• Providing expert advices on a route fully tested by our team
